FernandinaGin 26 Posted August 10, 2012 I'm getting banded by dr. Almanza tomorrow and they offered to remove gallbladder for a minimal fee. I'm private pay so I'm thinking it's a good deal. Any suggestions?
gloriadiaz1 14 Posted August 10, 2012 Do it, cause usually short after your band your gallbladder will go...
elcee 3,342 Posted August 10, 2012 I'm not sure. Do you have gallbladder problems? If you do then maybe it's a good deal but if you don't then why remove a healthy organ just in case it causes problems in the future. You wouldn't have a kidney removed because it might fail later on.
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted August 10, 2012 years ago, i had my gallbladder removed due to my losing a vast amount of weight quickly......i would think later on they may remove it if you develop gall stones. i would say go ahead but only if your doctor thinks it would benefit you. i am sorry i cant offer anything else other than that. all the best and congrats on your upcoming surgery 1 kll724 reacted to this
kll724 3,055 Posted August 10, 2012 i think that if you have a history of gallbladder problems, it is a good idea. But,I would be cautious if I were you. but since you are self pay, It might not be a bad idea! Best wishes whatever you decide. Karen I'm not sure. Do you have gallbladder problems?
