I have let myself down this year. I was doing great with the band then I resorted to old habits. I was too tight and had an unfill. I was actually too lose after the unfill so I decided to go on vacation and have it filled once I got back. I gained weight and since then my fills are not giving me any restriction

:(The band didn't fail me, I failed the band! It's not over yet though! Tomorrow I have another fill scheduled and I know this is going to get me to where I need to be. I just have to be strong during food temptations and keep my eye focused on the goal which is a healthy life. I have started a blog, not mainly focused on health and weightloss but life in general. If you would like to follow me you can check it out here: http://tabithavos.blogspot.com/

I feel I also need to come to the group more and interact with other ppl facing the same problems I face daily... to get inspiration. I hope everyone is doing well. Have an awesome day!

I know you're struggling but your attitude is amazing. I very firmly believe your mindset plays a huge part in whether we succeed or fail in life, and I very firmly believe that you will succeed with your band.

Btw, you didn't fail. You had a minor set-back. That's the beauty of the band, you can simply start over and get back on track. As long you learn from your mistakes it's not failing it's simply learning. You learned and now you're moving forward, that makes you a success :)

Hang in there, you can totally do this!

Thanks everyone!

I just made it back in from my fill. The nurse said my bp was low and my pulse rate was high. She seems to think it's caused from dehydration. I stocked up on crystal light today so I am going to make it a priority to get that Water in. I hope everyone is having a great day.

Love your amazing attitude. Admitting our failures takes courage and strength, but the next step is moving forward and learning from what we did wrong. I give you so much applause for telling us your story and moving forward. You ARE NOT a failure. I love that after this little bump in the road, you are not going to give up!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
