Oh-la-la 4 Posted August 9, 2012 Hi all, I was banded on Aug. 1 so far it's been good, I guess, Since I dont have X-ray vision. I'm really having trouble with sleep positions. I'm a stomach sleeper but I know I can't do this how are others sleeping? I tried sleeping on my back on my bed and felt discomfort from left side is this normal? I have sleeping on the couch elevated. So ready for my bed thou! 1 kll724 reacted to this

PattyGirl66 1,243 Posted August 9, 2012 I am a tummy sleeper too! It took 5 days post-op to get on my stomache to sleep, even now I am tender and sore. Every passing day gets a little bit better.

Oh-la-la 4 Posted August 9, 2012 I tried sleeping on my right side and its's felt like the band and port shift with my body. I was scared the could detach. Is that possible? My tummy looked a little more swollen after that.
kll724 3,055 Posted August 9, 2012 No, don't think you will do any harm sleeping on your side. If you do, then maybe your port is not attached well! Anyway, it is quite normal to have trouble getting comfortable, as others have said, try putting a pillow on your side and rolling toward it. Best wishes for some sleep.
