seminole 0 Posted March 18, 2006 Hello All...Future bander here.... I am a male and I was wondering if the males feel any discomfort from the port while being intimate? As you know our bodies do alot of motion being sexual and I am seeking knowedge if you have the same power as before? . Does your partner or partners notice the ports location ? Is the sex now better? Ladies has your sex life gotten better? Are banders more sexual now then pre banding? Thanks
HeatherGurl 0 Posted March 22, 2006 I can't believe no one has answered you seminole!!! I will answer your questions about the ladies... Sex is definitely better, and I didn't think it could be. I have lost 58 pounds since banding, and we can both tell!!! I wouldn't say I am more sexual since I have always been very sexual... but positions are a lot easier and more varied now. Hope a guy will answer your other questions!!! Good Luck!

S@ssen@ch 745 Posted March 22, 2006 I can answer you from the ladies aspect Seminole. After having lost 70+ lbs, sex is much easier and although the frequency hasn't really increased (I was pretty sexual before), I like it a lot better. When you don't have that much flesh to tote around and get in the way, it's much more enjoyable. I'm a very active partner and I can't say as I've ever noticed my port with any movement or position. :guess I don't think hubby has ever noticed it either. If he has, he hasn't said anything and he gets creeped out by stuff like that.
the best me 6 Posted March 22, 2006 My hubby once said he felt my port. We had a good giggle because I thought he was saying he felt it from the inside...and it's waaay up at my waist. You can see how the conversation went from there. But he felt it as he pressed on it with his body. This was a long time ago, and he hasn't felt it since. My belly area is definately smaller. Sex is definately more comfortable with weight loss. Something to look forward to! Nothing but good to be gained from the weight loss, and no problems from the band in the Sex arena. It's all good!!!! Have fun!
seminole 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Thanks everyone for your response but it does not seem to many men on this board? I wonder if this is just too embarrasing for the rest of the real men to answer? HMMMMMM Sex is important part of my life and the more and the better will rock..
Jonathan 5 Posted March 24, 2006 There are definitely more women than men on the board. By far. To answer your question, no, the port has never been an issue in any way from my perspective.
wallisj 0 Posted March 24, 2006 Another male perspective .... i'll be blunt ... when my wife is on top sex is fantastic (especially in the early days post op) but even now, 2 months in i had a bit of an extended session last weekend and was also a little "vigerous" and i did feel rough for a couple of hours after.... Just take it easy and all will be well ... i'm hoping once the pounds start leaving EVERYTHING in life will be easier, not just the sex
