running_scared 125 Posted August 6, 2012 Could it be referred gas pain? How about a tight muscle?
Kekeboo 47 Posted August 6, 2012 It is VERY common to have this pain after surgery. GasX will help relieve some of the symptoms, and keep walking. You were pumped full of air during surgery, this will take a few days or maybe a couple of weeks to subside. I was banded july 16, if I eat too much my left shoulder/neck immediately starts to hurt. lucie159 89 Posted August 6, 2012 probably gas, but if it doesn't get any better, or gets worse then call your Dr. thats what you paid him for!!!

You were pumped full of air during surgery, this will take a few days or maybe a couple of weeks to subside. I was banded july 16, if I eat too much my left shoulder/neck immediately starts to hurt. 4 years later and I still get shoulder pain if I overeat. OP: What you're experiencing is normal. The gas they blew your body up with during surgery is still dissipating. Try GasX and walk as much as you can. Going to the chiropractor helped me a lot. 1 Kekeboo reacted to this
Kekeboo 47 Posted August 6, 2012 I read somewhere that we have nerve endings across the top of our abdomen to the left shoulder, that is the reason we get the pain when over indulging....thought that was interesting. 1 Cindy C reacted to this
Cindy C 150 Posted August 6, 2012 That really makes a lot of sense. I get port pain if I overeat too. Makes it easier to stay on track!
