Some questions:

-Are you sticking to a cup of food or less per meal?

-Are you counting calories' date=' and if so, how much do you consume in a day?

-Are you getting in all your Protein daily?[/quote']

Im still hungry after a cup of food... Yes-getting in my Protein. Im not eating over 900 (if that) calories a day...

It's normal to still feel hungry in the beginning. For most people, it take multiple fills before they finally find that perfect amount of Fluid to quell that hunger.

Have you considered increasing your calories slightly? Like maybe aim for 1000-1200? You can always decrease again later if you like, but it would likely help your hunger and could even possibly help kick your metabolism into gear.

Hang in there, it does get easier but it usually takes a little time.

You should fill in your profile and get a ticker so we can better help you.

You're only one month post op and you've had 3 fills? That's rather unusual? Most of us only had 1 fill the first 6 weeks.

Many of us didn't start losing for many months so you're normal. Until you get a fill that gives you restriction you probably won't lose much. I lost 12 lbs the first 2 weeks and then nothing for 3.5 months. I'm not alone. It takes time and probably no one told you that you will not lose fat for a while.

Like the forum member B-52 says: "Until there's restriction...It's just another diet!"

I agree with you need to increase your calories and I would make the increase in Protein even if you add a Protein Shake. Also I would focus on green Fiber and only do the carbs that are in your dairy products not white carbs. On the protein increase use greek yogurt for more protein and if you don't like the taste, just ad a spendar. Also cottage cheese has loads of protein for the volume. If you don't eat enough you will not lose weight.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
