alicesandra 98 Posted August 4, 2012 For about a week after surgery, I had to give myself Lovenox shots on my 'love handles'. About three-four days into it, I noticed I started to have break outs because of it. Right now I have a red spot on my forehead, my nose is red/bumpy, and a few spots right on/above my right eyebrow. Anyone else have the same side effects/any idea how long these will take to go away? I was done with the shots on the 29th, but the break out spots are still as red/annoying as ever. utcaneuser 32 Posted August 4, 2012 I'm also taking lovenox shots currently. I've had to do bridging before. I've never had that kind of reaction. You need to contact you doctor this could be a rare side effect or an allergic reaction. It could be nothing, but its better to find out.

alicesandra 98 Posted August 4, 2012 I have never once had a allergic reaction to anything before, which is why I thought I would ask here first! I have an appointment with my nutritionist monday, so I'll call and see if I can get in with my doctor for a quick appointment after as well. Thanks! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

sarawray 44 Posted August 4, 2012 What is lovenox????
alicesandra 98 Posted August 4, 2012 Lovenox are shots that patients usually injects themselves, prevents blood clots from forming, I know not all surgeons require it, but mine does for any kind of surgery here.
Desiree123 11 Posted August 4, 2012 I was given them during my stay in the hospital. I had just finished my tom and woke up the next morning and had started all over again.....so my tom lasted two weeks due to two shots in one day! That stuff works! blpchick 50 Posted August 4, 2012 I had to take those because I developed a blood clot and I didn't break out like that but they made my stomach itchy.
