SpiritDriven71 1 Posted August 4, 2012 Aug 16th I am having my surgery. I cant wait! though here's my situation. I was planning on taking collage classes in Fall 2012. I now thinking just doing 1 online class or none at all. classes start two weeks post op. I basically just need my text book and laptop for course. I dunno. just looking how people were with returning to "office work"or school. thanks
Cazzy 725 Posted August 4, 2012 I think u may find 2 weeks post op a little early to go to college .. could u not request some home work for another 2 weeks, not sure really, its all an individual thing how u do post op, I recover well from surgery but wouldnt have been able to do a full day at college, the seating alone would be too uncomfortable .. but speak to your surgeon regarding returniong to college .. good luck with your surgery
Karen12345 61 Posted August 4, 2012 I returned to work 1/2 days 10 days after my Tummy Tuck. Consequently it took me long, long time to heal. I had my drain in for 6 weeks. I think if I hadn't overdone it so soon, that I would have healed much faster. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
JosieK 120 Posted August 5, 2012 I agree with Karen....better to take time to recover ... Otherwise it takes a long time to get back to normal. I think I just managed to stand up straight at week 3. What does your doctor say? My doctor gave me very accurate advice as to when it was ok to do certain things. TT is a very intense operation compared to the others i had. Best of luck.
