Ok last question lol- should hit the support meeting more, but they are so out of my way,,, anyhow, this is about gurgling when I start eating, sometimes first bite kinda rough, but then the gurgling begins, I dont know if my next door cubicle can hear it, but i have t walk around a bit before I can continue to eat. Being short waisted n sitting down- seems to make it hard to eat at work...At home no tight pants or leaning over a desk so it seem to be easier to eat. Once I burp etc I am ok. I do notice I eat sooo much better when I have no gas in my tummy. Its like a war between air and food! Anyone?

When I gurgle, it can be a prelude to getting stuck. I make sure to stop eating for 10-15 minutes and let the problem pass. I also make sure to chew my food to a finer consistencty if that happens.

The first few months my stomach made cRaZy noises. I named my band Chewy, not to remind me to chew but because it sounded like Chewbacca (the big Wookie) from starwars. It was almost scarey!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
