Feeling Really Tight!

Recommended Posts

So this morning I had to rush out the door to get to work and didn't have time for Breakfast. Then I went and got lunch (shredded chicken taco ish salad)....I took two bites and was too full...almost felt like I was stuck but not quite. I figured it was just because it was my first meal of the day, and I'm normally tight in the mornings. Then a few hours later I was starving so I took a few more bites...same feeling! Then I took the dogs for a walk, came back home, ate dinner (tried to) same thing again! I have had 2 fills, my second one was about a month ago. I've never felt this tight all day long before...my dr said its not a slip...so what could it be?? Also I've felt queasy all day too. Hmmm.

It was probably the texture of the chicken. It can cause problems.

I've started doing the same thing and wonder if I am too tight or if stress is whats causing it. I have an appt today so hopefully I will get some answers.

Today wasn't nearly as bad! Although I didn't make the best choices :/

Your thoughts might be right in bad choices, however I recently realized that I was tight when I didn't get enough WATER! I am tight in the AM, my day starts around 10, but that first meal is about 2. About 3 weeks ago I had a couple of days when I couldn't eat without discomfort. When I took a look at what I'd had, the Water was very short. Temps and impending stroms make me tight as well. Stress is a big one for me as well.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
