Not adhesions from the band, but I eventually had a hysterectomy two years ago because I had such bad adhesions. I'd had five laparotomy/laparoscopy procedures over six years for fertility issues and pain, and had serious adhesions, along with scar tissue. Hysterectomy is one of the best things I've done besides lap band.

Thank you for your reply. I have been having adhesion pain off and on since 12/2011. I had a lap band on 5/26/2009. My last three fills ended with a port site infection. I also had to have my port replaced.. I never know when I will get the adhesion or if something triggers them. Once I was in bed for 6 days..my question is...will these adhesion pain ever go away? My doctor doesn't. Say much. I just turff it out in bed.

I have been wondering if that is the awful pain I have been experiencing in my lower abdomen, since my hysterectomy a few years ago (well before I was banded). The pain is recurring but usually happens when I stretch the wrong way. it feels like someone is inside my gut twisting and turning a chunk of flesh...it is awful! The last one knocked me to my knees.

Is your pain constant?

No my pain is not constant. When I do get an attack it hurts to move and breath deep. .I usually end up in bed for a few day. My mom had them and she said they will pgo away. Keeping. My fingers crossed.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
