Hi Vines and Janet - thanks for checking on me. I didn't call the clinic. I'm so busy with work right now, that I didn't have time to go. Next week is even worse. This is just too tight though. Having trouble eating.. period. shakes work ok (although I have to wait for them to gurgle through). Anytime I try and eat anything with any substance at all -- like pintos and cheese from taco bell, for example, I get the worst golfball and slime mess. I do think this is too tight, but am hoping I can limp along for a week on Protein shakes until the work schedule lightens up.

Anyone see a problem with waiting as long as I can get Protein Shakes down?

Hey Janet - you guys have a good time at Jason's next week! I'll try and make it to the one next month.

After my last fill I couldn't do anything except liquids for almost two weeks. I didn't experience the magical mystical spit bubble maker though. Have you talked with your Doc yet? In the end I was happy I muddled through the tightness and didn't seek an unfill.......What is it with you two --Strawarts with the exterior bubbles and you Kim with the interior bubbling -- is this some sort of lap bandster hobby I'm unaware of?????????????

Heh, wonder how the bubble machine is today?

As long as you stick with Protein shakes & NOT Sonic shakes, lol, you should be ok... and it might just work itself out. (I wouldn't have the patience for that, though!)

We'll miss you at Jason's! You'd better come next month!

LOL Guys. I know, we have issues! The magical spit bubbles have stopped, so this is a BIG plus. Maybe I'll tough it and and do Protein shakes and see how it goes. I really have so little time right now with work... a trudge over to Dallas just isn't in the cards. Heck - I made it through 2 weeks pre and post op like this, I guess I can do it again. Arghhhh.

Ah well, I get to have blended up tortilla Soup AGAIN tonight. Taco Bueno - probably not the best thing for me, but it sure beats yet another Protein shake.

Thanks for the feedback guys.... and yes, Janet, I'll see you guys next month... I'm jealous! Hope you all have a great time. Everyone seems so nice --- it'll be good for you guys to put a face with a name.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
