ILUVMATH 25 Posted August 1, 2012 I was able to drink more than the required amount of Water before I got banded on 7/26. After being banded, I struggle getting my required amount of water each day. It's very frustrating. I hope this will go away soon. I like drinking my water. Anyone else had this happen?

Doodledo73 7 Posted August 1, 2012 I am having the same issue. I could drink so much more prior to surgery. My instructions say not to drink more than 8 ounces in an hour. I try very hard not to but I'll never get in all my liquids if that is the case. I'm lucky if I get 50oz in a day. Any secrets?
NWgirl 574 Posted August 1, 2012 I would suggest carrying a water bottle and drinking at least a bottle between each meal. The first month was hard for me to get all the required Water in, but I can now. It may take some planning, but it can be done.
Sojourner 2,446 Posted August 1, 2012 At first, it's difficult post op to drink all of the Water you're supposed to have. I've always enjoyed drinking Water, and really struggled with this the first few weeks. I had a difficult time remembering to both drink and eat. I found it helpful to "structure" my time, so that every day before lunch I needed to have XX # of oz, then by mid-afternoon another 20oz...I still rely on that schedule to keep me on track to have at least 80 oz of water a day. I also keep a bottle of water with me most all of the time, and sip from it frequently.
