I am trying my hardest to watch what I eat and my husband is being a total ass about it. Saying shot like your just going to get skinny and bounce. And just cuz you eat right didn't mean I have to... I can't handle it

Use his A-Holeness as a motivation to lose and shove it in his face. Then when you're a real hottie flirt with cute guys.

Oh dear :( maybe he is worried you will leave him when you get your new sexy body? Or maybe he's just and ass :( either way this is about you! Just keep going until you reach your goal and don't let anyone stop you! Maybe he does need reassured you won't leave him once you loose weight, some men get insecure when they realise other men will soon be after their woman! Lol best of luck, don't give up!! :) x

any change is difficult for a relationship. I would say it is an immature way for him to communicate but, he is trying to do just that.

keep working at what YOU want to do, get healthy, look better. I think it will all settle down with time.

I hope you have other people in your life who can help support you. If not keep posting on this forum. You will gain confidence as you get used to eating well, exercising and losing weight!

Sounds like he is insecure and maybe unsure why you are doing this... Maybe all he hears is she will be skinny? Remind him the health benefits and share with him at milestones you can both do enjoyable things like hike swim bike go in romantic trips etc... Maybe he will feel more a part of the process? Hope he responds to that

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
