hmd 7 Posted July 31, 2012 I know, I know the true TMI topic but I am interested in any input. Mine has changed DRASTICALLY since being banded so much so that it is concerning... Anyone else care to weigh in??
f1stborn 59 Posted July 31, 2012 Im the same. I use the go once a dsy or ever other day...I was very regular....it was like clock work...but now its not as easy for to go n when I do it not the quickest process like it use to be. Plan to talk to my doc Sent from my SGH-T989 using LapBandTalk
sHeLLaBee 130 Posted July 31, 2012 Mine has also drastically changed - but in the other direction... I used to go only 2-3 times a week, if I was lucky. I also had issues where when I had to go, I had to go. Now I go about every other day, but it's a little harder - literally. I've tried Fiber, but you have to take like 5 pills in one serving and I already take all my other meds, makes it really difficult. I mentioned it to my doc and he said I won't go as much because I don't eat as much. My body is absorbing most of it for nutrition, but I need to make sure I am getting enough fiber in my diet. Good luck and let us know if you learn any secrets!
lillieb53 5 Posted July 31, 2012 I had the same problem. I started using Miralax in one of my daily drinks....problem solved.
Rojasanoll 920 Posted August 1, 2012 When I was on Atkins, I had the same problem as you. I purchased Miralax and it worked for me. I'm not banded until Aug 6, but I practiced ahead and I found if you steam veggies and then use blender to puree them it doesn't taste bad and this takes me back to regular. 1 maegan reacted to this
Jachut 487 Posted August 1, 2012 Well, I'm having terrible trouble now, but I had rectal cancer and lost my rectum well after banding - so the problems i have now are due to that. However, once i got banded, I dropped from a daily kinda person to once every second day - you put less in and you get less out, simple as that. But I never had "trouble" in terms of Constipation, I just produced less.

I was having some IBS type things at 30. They reluctantly did one and found two precancerous polyps! This year at 34, they found two more! I know our bodies change after this surgery, but know your family history and if something doesn't seem right and doesn't correct itself in time mention it to your dr.
