Mxmom740 9 Posted July 31, 2012 I was banded on 04/13/2012 & lost 30 lbs. the first 3 months. However, I seem to be stuck with the weight loss. I'm presuming I need more exercise &/or less calories. I am on a 1200 calorie or less per day regime.... My starting weight was 211 lbs. & I am currently at 179 lbs. Does anyone have any real suggestions to jump start my weight loss? I considered going back to liquids, but I feel that's unreasonable. I work in law enforcement, work 12 hour shifts & hardly have any time to do extracirricular stuff, let alone exercise. I self-paid for my surgery & really want to do the right things! Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
sHeLLaBee 130 Posted July 31, 2012 Have to had a fill recently? Maybe it is time for one. Ususally after a fill I lose 5-8lbs in the first week and then I go back to 1-2 lbs a week. I feel ya though. I had my last fill on 07/03, I lost 8lbs in a week and haven't lost an ounce since! Ugh! It's frustrating. I was banded on 10/07/11 and have lost a total of 71lbs, but I am right on the border of the One-derlands! ...and I want to get there already! I would suggest lay off all carbs for a few weeks and drink lots of Water. Good luck!
♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted July 31, 2012 Are you logging your food? I found that really helped identify what I was eating. I found that I wasn't eating the right foods....not the best choices. I'm now focusing on high Protein, low carbs. I use myfitnesspal to log. It works great.

Mxmom740 9 Posted August 17, 2012 I had my last fill done the 2nd week of June. I still have restriction & still seem to get full fairly quickly. I am starting to work on eating more Protein & avoiding the carbs. I have lost 2 more lbs. in the past 3 weeks so I guess I'm losing something :-) I have started logging my food @ myfitnesspal.com & that does seem to make me feel much more accountable. Thanks for the input! I am still working on my "happy medium", but I'm not gaining either so that's good!
vlp1968 83 Posted August 17, 2012 That's great you are watching your carbs, I think it makes all the difference. Also, please try to find some time for excersise. It will wonders to get that scale moving again, never mind all the other many many benefits. You can do it!
