If you're at 5cc it's probably either a 10cc (most likely) or a 14cc band.

There is no standard for maxing out your band? You can fill them to their max and most doctors will if they need to. And how many CCs you have in your band is irrelevent. Doctors choose sizes based on your stomach size, how thick the lining of your stomach is, how much fat tissue is around your stomach and the shape of your stomach at the point the band is positioned.

So, you may only need 2 CCs to find restriction and someone else may need all 10 to close the loop tight enough to find restriction. I doubt any doctor would stop at 6.5 or any arbitrary number if the patient isn't experiencing restriction and losing weight.

Actually, my PA told me that your stomach isn't completely round. There's folds in it, making it like wrapping a piece of paper around a ball. So, it may not hold the exact amount of Fluid that it's sposed to. I have a 14cc band and I was maxed out at 10.5cc. When he put in the needle, the syringe pushed back against him, meaning there was too much pressure in it. I'm sure that as I lose more weight, those folds will even out a little and it'll take more. For the time being, however, I'm maxed out at 10.5 (which had to be emptied cuz of a slip anyway!)

I always thought they would hold what they say they are to hold also. I was wrong.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
