LBSept09 33 Posted July 30, 2012 Does anyone use the fitbit? I wish I understood more about allowing more calorie intake with exercise. If I am exercising and not increasing my calories, (not hungry) will my body store and lose slower then if I increase the calories?? And should they be protien calories out can it be veggies and fruit? ? Thanks for any insight.
Holly Dolly 575 Posted July 30, 2012 I love my fit bit! But I don't allow myself the extra calories from exercise. Not saying that I don't go over my amount for the day at times! I lost the most when I stayed at 1000 calories a day and exercised. Both my dr and nutritionist do not believe in starvation mode. 1 NWgirl reacted to this

Pollyanna12 74 Posted July 30, 2012    LOVE my FITBIT and LOVE MYFITNESSPAL! I am not a fan of increasing calories to "make up" for calories exercised off. However, I do find that I am sometimes a touch hungrier if I do high cardio work. I just add more Protein (greek yogurt) as a snack instead of something less filling. 1 Holly Dolly reacted to this
jen_1381 446 Posted July 30, 2012 I love my FitBit teamed up with Myfitnesspal just almost as much as I love my band. And my husband I don't eat back any of the calories I burned. I aim for "net" calories between 300-500 a day. I usually consume about 800 calories and try to burn off about 400 with exercise daily. It's been working great for me, but each person is individual. Can you give your nutritionist a call or email to have the calorie in/calorie burned process? That would probably be the best resource.

NWgirl 574 Posted August 7, 2012 What is a fitbit?! A fitbit is a calorie count/pedometer/activity level tracker/stair flight tracker all in one! IT IS AMAZING. I have had mine for a long time now, and it really motivates me to get out there and increase my numbers. www.fitbit.com
