life- death- & lattes 9 Posted July 29, 2012 8/5 is my 4 year bandiversary. I'm happy to say that I've lost over 150 lbs and I've managed to keep it off. It changed my life and I have no regrets. I'm living the life of my dreams. Thank you Dr. Montgomery. 8 jennifer1, kll724, marfar7 and 5 others reacted to this

Annfargo 5 Posted July 30, 2012 Congratulations that's awesome. did you ever get discouraged? I feel pretty discouraged now since I haven't lost in 3 months but then again I haven't been back in to the doctor since the end of May. But I'm very happy for you way to go. life- death- & lattes 9 Posted July 30, 2012 I did experience plateaus, I went back to my dr every 3 weeks for the first year. Sometimes I got an adjustment sometimes it was just for accountability & nutrition talk. After the first year I lost about 80 lbs, and it seemed like it was "free". I had to do very little. I didn't exercise and definitely didn't worry much about nutrition . I plateaued big time in year two. Only lost 2 lbs, I thought I needed a fill thinking more was better. I realized that wasn't the case, after 4 unfills I realized that I needed to divorce myself from the # in my band. I found that it actually worked better with far less Fluid. I had excellent appetite suppression and provided that I followed the rules in my Guide to Success I felt satisfied. I added exercise to my routine and started maintaining a 1400 cal diet. (I'm very tall) and managed to lose over 50 lbs last year. Exercise, nutrition & Portion Control are now just a part of my daily life. The iPhone app myfitness pal has helped tremendously. I feel like I'm the real me for the first time in my life. I'm not hiding behind my weight anymore. 1 kll724 reacted to this
