Anyone ever experience whne you eat or drink something that air bubble feeling as it goes down. Seems like the past few days I have had a lot of trapped air in my tummy. I took a drink of iced tea and it almost came back up on me until I let out a huge burp. I am 3 weeks out and hope this will pass.

I'm over a year out and this happens to me. Are you using a straw or sipping from the glass? f using a straw, I'd suggest not to. If you're drinking from the glass or cup, are you sipping or gulping.

Straws and drinking too fast or breathing while drinking (for me) gives me the air bubble effect

Hate to say it, but I'm 4 months out and still having major gas problems. I burp constantly (it's so lovely!) and just now had to eat 4 Tums because my stomach was distended and aching with gas pains...

It does go away at least it did for me. banded Dec 2011, the way you eat and what you eat , sip or use straws- and even time you eat,,, I do a pro-biotic every day. helps keep everything moving and Papaya pills to help break it down sometimes. MY bigest culprit- vegetables.

I was told not to use straws but I took a large sip from Water bottle yesterday and it happened to me. I have gas frequently. Had zucchini tonight and I sure wish I hadn't. Gas x and time in the Lu not fun

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
