SusieSunshine 68 Posted July 27, 2012 Good luck girl. I'm a month or so away from being banded. I have read and read and read on here the good the bad and the ugly. I feel so much more confident about the surgery after all I have read. Good luck and keep us posted! 1 TinaJoy reacted to this
littlerockbandster 13 Posted July 27, 2012 Yes. Dr. Gibbs is a great surgeon. I was banded on April 30 and have already lost about 40 lbs. you will love his nurse Carrie too. She helped me out so much on getting my approval. Good luck! 1 TinaJoy reacted to this
TinaJoy 4 Posted July 28, 2012 Thanks for the replies yall. Hubby and I attended the seminar today.... I really liked the dr. He seemed like he had a great sense of humor and was very approachable. Alot of information to process now lol littlerockbandster did you have LapBand?
littlerockbandster 13 Posted July 28, 2012 Yes. I actually have the Realize band. So far I love it. It took me around 9 months to go get through the insurance approval requirements. It's all worth it though. I'm buying clothes sizes that I haven't worn in probably ten years.
TinaJoy 4 Posted July 28, 2012 I can't wait to buy clothes SMALLER... even if its just a 3x instead of a 5x lol. At least there is progress. 9 months seems like such a long time but i totally think its worth it when you feel so much better about yourself. Im doing ok on my 6 month weight loss (dr supervised) I just need to find an exercise I can do that wont be to hard on my back or knees. Would love to swimm but having a hard time finding a pool
