onmyway1969 5 Posted July 27, 2012 I went in for my first fill today, and the Dr. was unable to access my port. I have another appointment tomorrow in radiology to see what is happening, and he will try again. Is this common? Is it possible that I will have to have my port repositioned? Disappointed. Hoping for the best tomorrow.
adorkbl 156 Posted July 27, 2012 It happens. I don't know how "common" it is... but ports can flip, tilt, turn, etc. It may be possible for them to access it under fluoroscopy. If not, you may need an additional surgery to reposition it. Hopefully it won't come to that. 1 onmyway1969 reacted to this
