barbi1281 112 Posted July 26, 2012 So I've blogged about this a few times, but I have several other more severe comorbidities that apparently may or may not count for Cigna, but I just got the results of my sleep study and I do have Obstructive Sleep Apnea which is apparently my rubber stamp! It's really funny because I know the long term effects of OSA but it's still the least of my worries due to my other problems so I'm seriously ready to jump up and down (if it weren't for the horrible asthma attack that would follow LOL) . Now I just have two more months of nutrition and October here I come! 1 JustMeDee reacted to this
The Laughing Cat 54 Posted July 26, 2012 Congradulations on your progress. Will you get a CPAP machine for the sleep apnea? I have one and my sleep apnea is mild. It wasn't hard to get used to but I still don't like it. I'm hoping with further weight loss I can get rid of the machine!
barbi1281 112 Posted July 26, 2012 Yes, I go back on Tuesday evening for another "study" with the CPAP to get the settings right and make sure it's not going to cause problems with my asthma and then I get my machine. The doctor told me that with my planned surgery in October, I should be able to be off of the machine within 12 months if I lose weight as planned.
ledavis13 33 Posted July 26, 2012 I just got my machine a couple weeks ago right before my surgery. I haven't been spot on using it...cause I was up and down on pain meds for a while. But now that I am healed I have been using it and I am FAR more rested than I ever was on less sleep! Love my CPAP machine! Even though I feel like Darth Vadar. barbi1281 112 Posted July 26, 2012 That's awesome Ledavis! I'm tired all the time but just figured it was my asthma, the weight, and all my other health problems. I'm looking forward to feeling rested for once
