Well, I am in a hell of my own creation.

I was banded on March 23, 2012 and so far I have lost a moderate amount of weight. Everything started out great. I was gung-ho about everything and watching every bit of food that I ate. The past month and a half have proven to be a test of will, and I'm losing! We have had a death in the family, one of our troubled kids went on a bender and stole a car, one of our family soldiers was MIA for 2 weeks in Afghanistan, my car took a dump and I still have be MOM! I have to take my daughter to basketball practice, volleyball practice and have my one year old in tow. I take Photog gigs as they come and still have to get food on the table. I am at my wit's end.

I have not been able to get any real exercise in for weeks. All I can think about at this point is how much I'd like to get back on my skates and back on the derby track, or in a pool doing laps! I ACTUALLY MISS MY EXERCISE!!! Not having some sort of release everyday is taking it's toll.

How do you guys keep up with your hectic lives and still manage to be compliant?

Thanks in advance for your comments and responses!

All the stress makes it so difficult. You need to take time for you although that's not always easy. Each pound I lose motivates me, that's what really keeps me going and when I have those stints where I am losing nothing I just push through. Exercise is a key component in my weight loss. I love my band, but I credit exercise as much as I do my band.

Sorry for all you are going through, and I hope that things slow down for you soon. Remember... eat healthy, make good choices and you'll do great. Hope you can find time for exercise. Best of luck to you (and your family).

Oh... and Water. Keep a bottle with you at all times. We aren't always hungry but think we are or are used to shoving something in our mouths. Water, water, water, when you want to eat... drink!

Hello, my name is Jeff Brown. I was banded in March of last year and I have a hectic life as well. I work midnights, run a business during the day and I coach about select softball 3 days out of the week and tournaments every other weekend. I have tried so many different things to keep my energy level up and since the surgery I couldnt find anything. I tried using 5 hr energy or anything but I have to tell you, the last 4 months I have been on AdvoCare products and I am a completely new person. I stared with the 24 day challenge and continued on the Max phase of it to maintain. My family and players have seen such a difference in me that I have even become a distributor and now they are on it. It's hard to explain but I am 34 and feel like a teenager again. I hope everything settles down for you and take care.
