First Fill Done!

Recommended Posts

Just got my first fill. It was no problem at all! I was so nervous and the surgeon even noticed! He put 4 cc in my 10 cc band. I only felt a prick from the numbing shot. Other than that, no pain! Water went down fine after.

How far out are you from surgery? I am one week and feeling hungry. Worried about gaining back what I lost last week.

Meow, if you click on her picture you can see her profile and surgery date.

Re: hungry..When the swelling subsides after surgery the band won't be offering any restriction until you get a fill or two. At this point you are really on your own. As B-52 says it: Until there's restriction...It's just another diet.

I had Surgery on June 14. I could have gotten a fill last week, but was out of town. I was starving too. You really just have to have restraint when it comes to eating. I was far from perfect and snacked too much i am sure. I am hoping this fill helps. my dr Said it should make a huge difference. Good luck!!!

Cassandra, the lapband is adjustable. It is fitted around the upper part of your stomach and has a tube that links it to a port, just below your skin in your abdominal area. The band is adjusted by injecting or removing saline to make it tighter or looser.

Be sure to do plenty of research so that you fully understand the band and living with it before you decide to go down this path. It works best for those who are most well informed about it. Keep asking questions.
