Bandster Hell Is Winning! Aaghh!

Recommended Posts

Eating planned meals or Snacks every 3-4 hours was/is essential for me.

You also need to start thinking about whether your hunger is always physical. After you eat one cup of solid food, are you still having hunger pangs, tummy grumbling, etc? Or is it more that you just feel unsatisfied - that you haven't eaten enough and want more? It took me a long time to get used to the idea of a small amount of food being "enough". I had to weigh/measure my food and put it on a small plate (like a salad plate) so it wouldn't look so meager.

Bandster hell is really hard; I'm there myself and am so hungry! But I'm taking the suggestions in this thread too and I'm going to power through it until I get some restriction. We can do this!:)

i'm still days out till my 1st fill and this bandster hell is winning! my hunger is back and with a vengeance. i don't even want to get on the scale because i'm scared of seeing how much of the weight i lost i've gained back :( i'm trying so hard to make good choices and to keep to my 1 cup servings but it's not enough!!! the good choices isn't so hard. i know i need to stay away from the bad and that's more mental than anything but the servings is a hunger thing....i think. all i know is that after a 1 cup serving meal i'm still hunger and looking around at everyone else's plate like i could eat theirs too!

ugh' date=' how does one survive this with their sanity and confidence that this will work in the long run??? because right now i'm starting to question everything![/quote']

Don't compare yourself to any one else. Eat more often smaller portions. It works., lots of Water only Water

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
