unopadre 0 Posted March 15, 2006 i'm on the pre-op liquid diet - so i am very aware right now of the satisfaction i usually get from "feeling full." guess i am a volume eater. i'm counting on the band to give me that satisfaction - just with a much smaller amount of food.< /p> has that been your experience? or will i be hungry all the time? as a 40-something 350 lb. guy, i'm particularly interested in the experience of other men - who tend to be volume eaters (at least according to the nutritionists i've consulted). Morsaille 4 Posted March 15, 2006 I am not a man, but I am post-op AND previously a volume eater. After banding full feels different. Very different. But hunger feels different too. When I get hungry now, it is without the pain and nausea I used to experience. I think that pre-op hunger was withdrawal... Now when I get hungry, it is without the urgency or cravings and I can make healthier choices for myself. The highs from being FULL will be gone, but I don't miss them, yet. I am hoping that when I lose some more weight, my quality of life will give me my highs.
