2012 359 Posted July 23, 2012 Anyone have any problems with whey Protein? I only have 1 shake in the morning each day, Optimum Nutrition, but every afternoon I end up having a lot of gas and it's pretty bad, Gas X doesn't even help much. I'm thinking about trying Plantfusion protein, but was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions? I don't think I'm lactose intolerant as I can drink milk, eat cheese, etc. but something has to give and I know I can't get all my protein from food alone. pink dahlia 2,513 Posted July 24, 2012 i get almost all of my Protein from food, and only have a homemade Protein Shake maybe once a week. I drink a "Boost protein drink" almost every A.M. then add in a during the day more protein sources like Peanut Butter, chicken teriyaki meatballs, Beans , nuts, hard boiled eggs, turkey burger, fish etc. Every little bit helps . Sojourner 2,446 Posted July 24, 2012 Though it is still being debated as to whether "soy" is a complete Protein...it may be worth investigating. There are many soy based products which also provide a good source of Protein. I'm just not certain that it is considered to be the complete protein that whey is... Best Wishes...
