Tippytoes78 1 Posted July 23, 2012 Ok, so I had my first fill on Wednesday. I haven't noticed much in the way of restriction (which I hear is normal), but my tummy sure has been "talking" a lot. I also call it rumble gut. Is this normal?

Meowmom 14 Posted July 23, 2012 How far out are you from surgery? I was expecting to have restriction right away, but the Dr said the swelling has to go down before I can have my first fill. I do feel as if I could eat way more that 1/2 cup, but am trying to stay to the diet. How long do I have to wait?
Tippytoes78 1 Posted July 23, 2012 I had surgery 6/14. I think most people have to wait anywhere between 3-6 weeks and sometimes longer for their first fill. But, like I said earlier--I had mine Wed. and feel no restriction now 4 days later.
yvonne74 73 Posted July 23, 2012 I didn't start feeling restriction until my 4th fill.. Your body's main job right now is to heal from the surgery.

♕ajtexas♕ 3,771 Posted July 23, 2012 Your tummy will talk to you! Mine talks the most when I lay down. It's funny, I've gotten to where I'm use to it. It's almost comforting to me. A reminder that the band is there working away.
babydumplin1968 13 Posted July 24, 2012 Glad to hear that I'm not the only one with Bubble Gut....just had my first fill today...8weeks post-op
Summerrain 520 Posted July 24, 2012 I had my first fill today, three weeks after being banded and the hunger I was having yesterday disappeared within an hour of having my first fill. I may be one of the lucky ones that is feeling restriction early. My tummy grumbles a lot too and it can grumble all it likes because I'm not hungry to feed it.
