Sojourner 2,446 Posted July 21, 2012 This is a journey and not an event...this journey has allowed me to acquire a life skill which eluded me for years: patience. Relax, and take a day at a time. Focus on your diet compliance and exercise, and the results will become obvious. 1 mykdzmom reacted to this
zinhaa 363 Posted July 21, 2012 did you take measurements? If not do it. It helps with the motivation. wendy
jen_1381 446 Posted July 21, 2012 Take a picture of yourself now then take the same pose in a month or two. You may not see changes in the mirror but you may on paper.

Ugh sorry just needed to vent a little! After surgery, it seemed to me that the blinders were lifted and I saw myself like others might. This was after over 30lb loss, but my head wasn't in the positive mindset. I was sad and mad at myself and all I could see was the bad. I then put together a collage of progress pictures and was able to SEE the positive changes and let myself be happy with me. I'm a work in progress and some days may be better than others, but you have to love yourself first and foremost. 3 jeani81, LadyBC and nikkib999 reacted to this
