newskinnygal 51 Posted July 20, 2012 Hello, I had surgery last Thursday. I have this sharp stabbing pain underneath my left breast. It hurts to sit or walk on it. I can't sleep. Can it be gas or something else? It seems to be getting worse. I have an appointment with my doctor in the morning but I'm not sure if I can wait.

Do you have respiratory problems? Does it hurt even at times of rest? Any other symptoms that accompany the pain?
maegan 51 Posted July 20, 2012 I had gas pain up under my breasts at times that hurt like that. Try gas x in the morning and at night. That'll rule out gas, or make it better.
georgia247 9 Posted July 20, 2012 It's early and I have found that I've had pains that i couldn't figure out what was going on. Everything is healing and can get ouchy I had one night with similar pain to that and I thought I had done something bad by straining to poo. I paged my surgeon in a panic in the middle of the night. He wasn't concerned and just suggested I increase pain meds so I was comfortable and could sleep. I would rule out gas, and if you have something strong enough to dull the pain until you get in to see your doc, go with that. Hope you feel better soon. newskinnygal 51 Posted July 20, 2012 Thank you everyone! I took pain medicine last night and felt a little better. I went to my doc today and he didnt seem to worried either. He said it could be a pulled muscle or gas pain. I'm just gonna up my pain meds and walk. 1 maegan reacted to this
