OMG I crossed my legs !!!!

Recommended Posts

the other night I was watching TV and my husband came into the room and stood in front of me and said "ive never seen you do that before" I said "what?"

he pointed at my legs and I realised I HAD THEM CROSSED !!!!!!!!!!:)

Its been years and years since I had done that and I did it without even thinking about it

then I thought about all what I could do that I couldnt do a year ago

like

prepare the dinner without sitting down at the worktop

stand and wash the dishes without leaning on the sink and doing them with one hand.

walk to the bottom of our small garden without worrying how I was going to make it back

breathe easier

walk up stairs and not have to plonk myself down on the bed to get my breath back

go upstairs for something without thinking about it and psyching myself up for the journey

reach all parts of myself in the shower without using a long handled brush

wearing shoes two sizes smaller so much more choice

clothes 7 sizes smaller again much more choice

the list is endless I think.

wonderful isnt it

three cheers for my band my true and trusted friend

:clap2: :clap2:

hurrah!

I know the power of the List of NSVs full well. It is pretty stong stuff to be able to read over your NSV list any time you are feeling down, or heck, when you want just a small pick-me-up.

Congrats on your list, and here's hoping that this next year will bring you many more NSVs.

I have to admit, that is on of the things I'm most looking forward to (crossing my legs) I carry my weight in my hips and thighs so I can't wait to be able to do that!! Good for you!! :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
