I wad banded 4/6 and lose 1-2 lbs per week but for me even though I get on the scale about once or twice a week I try to make my official weight a day or so after my cycle.because I can gain 2-5 lbs the week before then the week of the cycle with bloating etc.so for me if it looks like I haven't lost in a couple of weeks I see what time of the month it is.if it's before my cycle I'm not so worried if it's right after then I try to see what i may not be doing right or have changed.

How much food are you actually eating? My doctor says 3 oz solid potein plus low fat/cals/carbs veggies. How long can you go after eating before feeling hungry? Is it less than 4.5-5 hrs? If it is you need more fill. It can take up to 2 weeks for a fill to take affect. Before true restriction you get some restriction with a fill but it can go away a couple days after the fill.

food choices this is a big one. Sorry but the wheat thins and fries have to go. There are about 120 cals in about 10 wheat thins. Trust me that's not a lot of crackers. People normally underestimate the amounts they are eating.

As mentioned earlier your exercise habits are another important aspect. My doctor says at least 30 minutes a day 7 days a week.

I am at restriction, exercise 1.5-2.5 hrs 7 days a week, eat less than 1200 and lose less than 1 lb a week.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
