Okay, so MY biggest problem is that I don't have a lot of time to work out and/or I don't want to spend a lot of time working out.....SOOO.....after talking with friends and researching I found a GREAT all over body workout!!! It's called the "100 Workout" and it only takes about 20 minutes out of your day. By the time I am done, I am dripping in sweat and my heart rate is pretty darn accelerated!!

Here's how it works:

100 jumping jacks

90 crunches

80 squats

70 leg lifts

60 jumping jacks

50 crunches

40 squats

30 leg lifts

20 jumping jacks

10 minute run

Even if in the beginning you can't do all of that, try cutting each in half and working your way up. Anything is better than nothing... For instance, you can try:

50 jumping jacks

45 crunches

40 squats

35 leg lifts

30 jumping jacks

25 crunches

20 squats

15 leg lifts

10 jumping jacks

5 minute run

However you need to adjust it to make it work for you....it's such a simple work out routine and really DOES work you out. I put on some fast beat music and just go til I'm done with only breaking for Water.

Let me know if anyone tries it :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
