zgb 3 Posted July 17, 2012 i love zumba and do that at least 3-4 times a week so my cardio is being taken care of. i know i need to start doing some weightlifting even though i'm not really a fan of it. i don't really have the money for a personal trainer so i'm looking to do this on my own. does anyone have an easy to follow (for a beginner) weight lifting or muscle toning workout plan for me to follow? or maybe a website, an app or a link i can go to that help me with this. Cazzy 725 Posted July 17, 2012 I started out with dumbells and looked on you tube for some exercises and then i sit watching tv doing my strength training, i also got some resistance bands and do those too now, strength works best after your cardio workout but at a push u can fit them in anytime during the day , certainly it helps metabolise the carbs and sugar and that always helps with the weight loss .. its not complicated and i concentrate on reps more than doing heavy weight lifting .. you tube has got tons of easy to follow exercises .. good luck .. u can always do zumba with dumbells too 1 PattyGirl66 reacted to this

There are tons of videos on youtube you can watch that will give you the basics. I have small weights here, around 1lb each, depending on your level you can do more weights. I also have one of those stretching bands, I love it! 1 Cazzy reacted to this
zgb 3 Posted July 17, 2012 Thanks I'll have to look up YouTube. Also starting body pump and kickboxing with weights. I just have to be careful still because I'm only three Weeks post OP and still in some pain.
