trisket 46 Posted July 17, 2012 I am almost 3 weeks post op and my doc doesn't do a first fill until 2 months so I don't have anything in my band yet. However, today I was eating some lunch meat and not paying attention and I ate it quickly. Next thing I know I have this horrible pain in my chest and the urge to cough over the trashcan. After a few times a spitting out gunk I felt better but now I am wondering if that is what stuck feels like.

maryfran 19 Posted July 17, 2012 That would be a stuck. I am 7 months out from surgery and have not had a fill yet. I get stuck if I don't pay attention so it can happen at any point. Just watch how fast you chew and how big a piece you take. Another tip try and really pay attention when out to eat with friends or co-workers you get to talking and you tend to not watch how fast you are eating. This is where I get into trouble. You will learn what does and doesn't work hang in there it is just a learning curve
maegan 51 Posted July 17, 2012 I am a month out. I get my fill next week. I have been stuck a few times if I take too big of a bite or eat too fast. Slow down and chew!
