proverbdoll 1 Posted July 17, 2012 Ladies and gentlemen it is nice to met y'all. I had my surgery on the 15th of June, I lost 10 lbs in the pre-op diet, I have lost an additional 8 pounds since having had the surgery, which honestly I lost within the first two weeks after surgery. I had my first fill last week and received 3cc into my 9cc band. I am more than a little frustrated that I haven't lost anything in weeks. Not that I expect the weight to melt off, but something would be really nice at this point is all I'm saying. If those of y'all who have been through this for longer than I have would provide me with some encouragement I would really appreciate it greatly because I feel as though I am floundering. fericito 138 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm a few weeks post op and my dr. told me definitely NOT to expect any weight loss right now - he called this the healing part of the diet/band. He said it will come soon enough and that after we get into the green zone is when we'll really hit it. Try not to feel too discouraged - this isn't a sprint, it's a lifelong race but we can do it. YOU can do it. Hang in there and it will come. 1 Wtloss reacted to this
Cindysmom (Ilene) 130 Posted July 17, 2012 Keep drinking Water, exercise, measure your food. No bread, no rice or any white flour stuff. Protein up and crbs down. Walk, Think possitive. Are you sure that your band is 9cc?
snielsen 1 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm with you, I had my surgery April 9th just had my second fill, now have 6cc in my 11cc band and have only lost 12 pounds. Everyday I wait to see if the scale is going to move. My second fill was one week today and not even one pound down.
Short and Chunky 230 Posted July 17, 2012 Relax proverbdoll and snielsen..it will happpen. I am 1 yr post op. You loose a bunch then nothing and then it repeats itself. Just keep on doing the right things - eating right, drinking lots of Water and walking (or whatever exercise is your thing). My last "dry spell" lasted almost 4 months with NOTHING. then poof - down 9.5 in 3 weeks- without changing a thing. You didn't gain it all overnight and it is doing to leave overnight. Stay patient and positive (that really does help). I am down 104 with 40+ to go so I am still in the working hard stage. Hope you both are feeling great. Cindysmom (Ilene) 130 Posted July 17, 2012 Just keep on track and do not cheat. Then you will find a surprise. 1 fericito reacted to this
NWgirl 574 Posted July 17, 2012 As I've seen many times on the board, "it's just another diet til you find restriction." Until you are at the right fill level, you will have to diet like the olden days to lose weight. 1 fericito reacted to this

adorkbl 156 Posted July 17, 2012 Thanks ladies! I really appreciate your advice. I think it is a 9cc band' date=' I'll double check when I go back in august[/quote'] Are you in Australia? They use a 9cc band I believe. Saw someone mention that size a few days ago on here. First I had heard of it.
