hippychick74 22 Posted July 15, 2012 Since I have always be a volume eater I knew this was going a challenge. After a visit to my nutrisionist, I started a kinda low fat diet and low carb. My goal is to get to 30 grams or less. I wasn't 100% sticking to it but I worked on it. Now that I have gotten all that sugar out of me I'm not that hungry. Since I haven't been that hungry I decided to practice. I'm not alway's 100% percent with that either but, I have been eating slower and chewing alot. I'm amazed at how quickly I felt satisfied without eating a mound of food. I think before I continued to eat because it just tasted so darn good. I'm fortunate that I don't have a dreadful pre-op diet. I am having surgery this friday at 7:30 and only have to do Clear liquids on Wendsday an Thrusday. I have lost 14 lbs so far. Call me crazy but I think I'm going to start my pre-op early. Why not I've got to give it up anyway. At least until Wednesday I can eat if I am hungry. I will keep ya'll informed. 2012 359 Posted July 15, 2012 Do you have to do all liquids after the surgery?
hippychick74 22 Posted July 15, 2012 Clear Liquids day 1-3, full liquids day 4-8, soft foods day 9-15. Day 16 and on ward regular food. Low carb and low fat. Like I said I was lucky. Since I had 2 abnormal EKG's for the first time in my life, I had to do a stress test but everything seems to be OK. Got released for surgery. I had breasr cancer last year that scared me so I decided this was what I needed to do. Now that there is a possibilty of heart diease on the horizen. I don't think I could be more motivated that I am right now. We all have to much life to live and I'm not wasting another minuite on this crazy merry go round.
