Nyt 19 Posted July 14, 2012 I was banded on July 12th and I usually sleep on my side and stomach. I can't lay on either side now and I'm scared to try to lay on my stomach. I know I'm still fresh out of surgery and that I shouldn't be too worried but I am. I'm able to drink and get through things but only slowly. Protein Shakes, broth, etc. I just have a bit of trouble with Water. Can't drink it too fast or else I get sick. Any advice is appreciated.
allik07 29 Posted July 14, 2012 I too am a side and stomach sleeper. I have not dared tried laying on my stomach but I can sleep on my non port side ( my right side) if I have a pillow tucked up to me.

lchouinard83 13 Posted July 14, 2012 I was banded 2 months ago and I am also a side/stomach sleeper.... About a month after surgery I could comfortably sleep on my side and now I can lay on my stomach... I promise you will be there soon!! Good luck with your journey! :-) 1 Nyt reacted to this
lchouinard83 13 Posted July 14, 2012 I see that some of you have your port on either the left or right side.... Mine is in the middle, right above my belly button... Not sure If that makes a difference? 1 Nyt reacted to this

I call you lucky. Mine I'm pretty sure is on the left, which I'm sure is why I can't sleep on the left right now.
Nyt 19 Posted July 14, 2012 I was so excited I slept on my right side last night, all night! Body pillows are awesome! I lay against that so I have some support and to keep me from moving too much. Thanks for the advice.
