I am a girl who panics if I can not snack! Hahaha I love Kashi granola bars, the layered coconut and dark chocolate. I have a sweet tooth and this really helps with that. 120 calories and 3.5g of fat..I know that seems like a lot...but as long as you stick to one it should be okay  I also love baked pretzels, baby carrots with a little hummus, yogurt, and popcorn (non buttered obviously). Hope this helps a little! :D

My go-to snack when I am actually hungry (not head hunger) is light string cheese. I think it's 80 calories and 8 grams of Protein. It holds me over well until time for dinner.< /p>

I actually don't snack per say, but instead have my next meal when I am hungry. If I get a sweet tooth, I have a Fiber plus bar (caramel coconut).

For Snacks, you could try 100 calorie popcorn, hardboiled egg, deli meats, string cheese, etc. I would try to keep snacks to less than 150 calories.

I love Pistachios, The Weight Wise Nut: Pistachios are one of the lowest fat, lowest calorie and highest fiber nuts and they offer the most nuts per serving compared to any other snack nut – 49 to be exact.

I have portioned out tiny bags of peanuts, unsalted of course. I eat weight watchers smoked mozzarella string cheese..50 calories per stick. I have the weight watchers spreadable cheese wedges for crackers. I get reduced fat cheese nips and only have half the serving size suggested on the box but I do eat the whole cheese wedge because its only 35 calories per wedge. I try really hard to avoid carbs in my Snacks and save that for something that I really, really want later. Sometimes I just drink a small glass of milk if I am just a bit hungry or shaky..I have a hard time keeping my blood sugar on an even keel (hypoglycemic) so I have to watch that I don't go too long without some carbs to balance me.

I love pistachios, they are the perfect bandster snack.< /p>

I like sugar free pudding when I have a sweet tooth, only 60 calories.

If I get hungry at night, I'll have 1/4 cup of 1% low fat cottage cheese for 45 calories.

I'm also a fan of low fat Wheat Thins (8 are 65 calories) with a wedge of Babybel Light Swiss for 35 calories.

They have little round wheels of cheese that are 50 calories and soft wedges that are 35 calories. I know they have different flavors though hard to find them all in the light. I really like the creamy swiss and garden cream cheese ones. They are a little pricey though, it's about $5 for 8 wedges.

Serving size of beef or turkey Jerky its about 70 calories. I get the nugget size which is easier to measure. I have serving size baggies (1/4 of a small apple cubed)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
