Recommended Posts

I'm joining the 100 club. Weighed in at the dr's office this morning for my fill, and the total lost was.......drumroll.....101:D:D:D

Welcome Dave!

That's wonderful. :whoo:

Nancy, no dancing yet, but soon, very soon. It seems I have mastered maintenence. Could someone please send a memo to my arse that I have 60 more pounds to go???

I have been upping the workouts, rethinking eating, getting back to band basics, and I feel great...but the pounds won't budge. Sigh.

Also some major personal stress (see Jan07 Bandsters posts) has played havoc with my band...more than I though possible. I just gotta remember that IN THE LONG RUN, over time...ALL GOOD BEHAVIOR will be rewarded.

Sorry, I sound delusional now...LOL!

I wanted to share this with everyone on here but I'm surprised y'all didn't hear me yelling when I stepped on the scale at our health clinic this morning for my weekly weigh-in no matter where you live. I weighed 198.4 pounds!!!!!!! I can't believe it but lordy I'm happy! I've done through the 400s, then the 300s and now I've conquered the 200s. Look out 100s, as I've only got 28.4 pounds to go to reach my dream weight. When I started this amazing journey, I sometimes wondered if I'd be successful but I have been and right now I'm bout to bust a button and thank goodness it's from pride now and not because my clothes are too tight! Thank you all for being here so I can share my experiences with you especially one that thrills me beyond belief!

Thank you so much. You'll be through your 300s and 200s before you know it. My starting weight was more than your's so don't ever think you won't do it cause you most definitely will. Onto another thing....I see you're from Green Bay so I'm betting you're a Packers fan so Go Packers! I'm a huge Cowboys fan, no pun intended, and if the Boys don't make it to the Super Bowl, I sure would love to see the Packers go. But then if we both win this weekend, then I'll of course have to back my Boys! Thanks again for your kind words.

It's been a while since my last post, but I just saw this one about the 100's loss and I felt great at the fact that I am one of those. :D I hit my 100 lb. loss right around Christmas time. I have to say it did feel great. I have been idling here for around 3 weeks though. No loss and no gain since then...but I didn't eat too healthy during the holidays either. lol

But, congratulations everyone!! Keep it going for the new year!!

P.S. Oh yeah, Seahawks are going to win this weekend. :) I just had to add that in, couldn't resist. Good luck everybody!!!

100 lbs from surgery!

145 from 3/06!

woo!

I keep changing my goal weight- Less than 30 lbs would put me at a "normal" weight for my height- don't know if that should be goal or the number I have- its in the middle of my weight range for my height and a number I've always wanted to see. Hmmm.

either way - wooooooo! Je t'aime my band!

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
