Add me to the 100 pound list as of today's weigh in.

Dab, 100 in 3 month is awesome. And they say when you have that much to lose you should to RYN. You are proof the band works. Good for you and good luck to the other 200 lbs!

Thanks Julie -

This has been a good journey to this point. There was an adjustment period and I still have my moments of forgeting that I am the "new" me and chew too fast or eat too big of bite or eat too fast and get reminded quickly how bad that can be, but for the most part, it is old hat now and I don't feel like it is work at all.

The staff was pretty amazed at the weight loss total as well in that time - but I am sure it will slow down.

Happy Holidays to all!

I've lost a hundred pounds. I've yo-yo'ed for a 20 years now.

With the band I'm confidant I won't see the 160's ever again! 200's....not even!

I just had my surgery on Dec. 18th (today is the 21st). I have 150 pounds to lose and I have all the faith I will indeed get to my goal weight. I like it when you all say how long it took to lose the weight.

I've done it! I've lost over 100 lbs! I've lost 169 lbs as of today! YEA ME!!!!!

I've lost the equivalent of:

5- Australian Sheppards (the size of my dog)

1- Average size adult

Almost 17- 10lbs bags of potatoes

AND I no longer float in the hot tub!

Judyblue I lost the first 120 in the first year.

just remember to walk as much as you can. It helps. Good luck!

Oh My.. What your words meqan to me. And how they hit home. ALL those things I can not do now and I want so badly to do them. I am 54 and already had heart bypass. That will have been 1 year on the 23 of Feb 07. I am heavier than I have ever been 321. Ballooned up 30 pounds since surgery. Can this banding work for me? I pray my doctor will help me with the decision I have made to have this surgery. Congradualtions to each one of you. I feel your happiness in your words.. God bless each of you

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
