Does anyone have problems eating watermelon or honeydew ? Most of the time that I eat it, I throw it right back up. More so in the evening. Sometimes in midday it is ok. Thanks for your comments.

Sometimes. It can be fibrous. You have to chew teeny bites.

I personally only have issues if I try to eat it too fast. GL!!

I have only tried to eat a little bit and it filled me up rather quickly, but almost all fruit does that to me, especially peaches, weird huh!

The ONLY food that I have problems with is cantalope! How weird is that! It just comes up in my mouth like a foam.

I really hope when I get banded I don't have problems with fruit because I really do enjoy eatting all of them. Either way I am going to try to incorporate it in my lifestyle after being banded. Even if I have to make smoothies out of it, LOL

I think it is a problem not because it is fibrous but it is slippery or slimy. That means it is impossible to chew properly and you may inadvertently swallow a piece that is bigger than you should have. Other summer fruits such as peaches and nectarines can also cause the same kind of problems.

Everyone is different...I still have fresh fruit every morning at Breakfast...melons, especially cantaloupe are my favorites.

I have tolerated all fruits well from the pureed stage and on...you do need to be aware to chew the fruit well...

I can eat it if I chew good. Another banded friend throws it up. I can't always eat eggs, she can. Our bands sometimes have a mind of their own lol!!!!
