I have to admit I've been lazy, I know that to keep the weight off, I'm one the those people who have to exercise, So I haven' t lost a pound since May (big surprise NOT!!!) I haven't been exercising :( . Well it's time to get back in the habbit and everyone is welcomed to join me..or I'm happy to go at it alone.

July mini Boot Camp challenge!!!

Okay here it goes, there are 21 days left in July and for our mini Boot Camp I am challenging Walkers to get in a min of 60 miles in on or before 7/31/2012. Thats about 2.8 miles a day. CAN WE DO IT, YES WE CAN!! Our Goal is to lose at least 3-6 pounds or 3 inches off you waist (can you say gettin "summer ready" ;) HOW YOU DOIN!!!)

Step 1. Weigh yourself

I know....I know but it;s time to face reality

Step 2.Take your measurments

Measure your wasit, hips, thighs, arms, and bust.

Step 3. Design your walking program

I'll be using "Walk Away the pounds DVDs" with Leslie Sansone

Step 4. Create your ticker and Copy it to your signature (Feel free to copy mine)

http://www.tickerfactory.com/weight-loss/wSVjNTn/

Step 5. Tell us how your doing.

Post in the Fourm everytime you complete 1..2..3.... miles ect.

Step 6. Tell us about the smaller you!!

We want to know how much weight or how many inches you lost So on 7/31/2012 please share so we can Celebrate together!

I really encourage every to at least try this challenge.. We are in this together. Feel free to inbox me with questions! See you at the finish line.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
