dianec 8 Posted August 11, 2012 So, this is an update on me.........I'm still feeling blue as I can't get back to running yet. I have tried and I get stabbing pains. It's sooooo frustrating. I miss my running and the happy endorphins it gives me. I can walk, but not at a very fast pace. My body hurts. I sometimes feel like I'm back at my weight of 328 pounds. I need some support here guys. Do you have any words of encouragement? Please help.
Cazzy 725 Posted August 12, 2012 Things do get better i cannot emphasise enough how much emotional ups and downs this surgery creates. We had a lot done almost like an amputation, keep looking at those before pics, keep focusing on what you will be able to do and push those thoughts on what you cant do to the back of your mind, I am now 12 weeks post op i can now do all the things i want to do and things are still improving, my surgeon says i can do what i want to exercise wise and i am celebrating by getting a new bike I have been using my exercise bike for 6 weeks now and cover around 25 miles a day i started slowly and built up to it but now i am back to my pre-op fitness and and feel fine. So hang in there and keep being patient, i bet you are doing great, it just doesnt feel like it
TracyW2 137 Posted August 27, 2012 Wow the emotional roller coaster is an understatement!!! The end of week one was complete hell on me emotionally! Im doing better now, but still have my moments. Its hard trying to heal, but yet feeling good and wanting to do things and cant. My tummy is looking good except one side is quite a bit more swollen than the other. They pulled out a little Fluid last week and it is back to being puffy again. I plan on calling them in the morning.
