abs6angels 36 Posted July 9, 2012 I know i need to count calories but man i hate doin it! Anyone else want to join me?
mylynn1377 93 Posted July 9, 2012 I go to Sparkpeople.com and plug in my food there. They count the calories for me so all I have to do is throw the info at them. Some people don't have to count calories. Others only need to count until they get pretty used to what a decent portion size is. For me though it really opened my eyes to what I was eating. When I started I figured out pretty quickly that I was taking in 2500 calories a day. I was pretty shocked honestly. I keep at it now and try not to go more than a day without inputting my stuff so I know what damage I did or if I was a good girl! 2 brenty and Cazzy reacted to this

NWgirl 574 Posted July 9, 2012 I use loseit.com because the mobile app is convenient and can sync with my fitbit account. It also has a nifty barcode scanner. 1 brenty reacted to this

It's a great way to get quality feedback about the effect your diet has on your progress, and then make adjustments. I use loseit.com because the mobile app is convenient and can sync with my fitbit account. It also has a nifty barcode scanner. Oh wow! I always forget about the scanner. That is a huge benefit! I'm a big fan of lose it.com I LOVE Lose It! Been using it for two years or so now, and it's really helped me. I almost wish it had time logging though, because I bet if I had that data it would be useful as well...but that could get to be a pain. Anyway, send me a message if you want to friend me up...and then I'll have to figure out how.

LouisianaLiLi 231 Posted July 10, 2012 I use my fitness pal. I really like it. It has a scanner option as well. I've had to use it a few times in the last week. Continued success on everyone's journey!
difa 114 Posted July 10, 2012 i use my fitbit and myfitnesspal...though I have stopped logging in my food diary. Mostly because my calorie intake is always the same. I average between 1200 and 1600 calories. Which is good considering I havent had a fill yet.

Logging is a tool we can use to get (and stay!) on track, but it's okay to not be a slave to it if you've got it under control. I feel like I am pretty good about eyeballing my food and being consistent, but I still use Lose It! It keeps me honest, especially when I cheat.
readytogoforit 172 Posted July 11, 2012 I use myfitnesspal each day. when I don't I tend to over eat, not bad food, just more than I should. it helps me to be accountable to me! It is so easy to have a little of this or that and not realize how much they "cost"! 1 LouisianaLiLi reacted to this
