Plastic Surgeon, Seattle/bellingham

Recommended Posts

Greetings!

I am over 10 years post op. I have lost a total of 130 pounds. Its time for a little upgrade on the body - Tummy Tuck, arms and thighs. I am on Whidbey Island, WA. Is there anyone that has recommendations for doctors in the Seattle or Bellingham area?

Thank you!

You may want to check out Dr Quiroz in Tijuana. You can fly into San Diego, they pick you up at the airport and bring you back. He is board certified in the us and Mexico and does great work for about half the price.

My concern with going to Tijuana is the issue of after care. I do not have insurance so this is all out of pocket. Adding in the air-fare, time there to recover (2 -3 weeks at least) and time off of work (not all of my time off will be covered by sick or vacation time) I think the over all cost would be almost equal and then I wouldn't have a doc near me for any issues that may occur.

I understand your concerns. I had my abdominoplasty here in Houston for the same reasons. Now I wish I would have done it in Mexico because I could have had two procedures for the price of one here. But I just didn't feel comfortable leaving my area. I wanted to recover at home.nim having my breast lift and neck lift there and am looking forward to it. Staying in their recovery boutique for 6 nights. I will actually get more rest there because at home I was constantly popping up to do stuff. It will be a mini vacation. Good luck to you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
