Riker990 6 Posted July 8, 2012 I'm in the soft foods stage and I have no idea what to do with the canned meats besides adding some mayo. I can also eat canned or very mushy vegetables. I'm thinking Soups, but I'd appreciate any other ideas.

Lhiggin 5 Posted July 8, 2012 For canned chicken, I added some queso cheese and salsa, and heated it up. 1 kmt1973 reacted to this
neener1970 39 Posted July 8, 2012 I use canned chicken with a little light mayo and wasa crackers. It's also good on wheat tortillas pizza style. tuna with light mayo and hard boiled egg whites is good too.
kmt1973 92 Posted July 8, 2012 I mix canned chicken with sour cream, mayo and green onions, Yummy. Or chicken, rotel & shredded queso cheese, microwave....delicious! When you get past the soft stage, throw it on a flour shell and brown it. Or tuna, peas mixed together, sprinkle some parmesean cheese on top, microwave for less than a minute. I hope these help. Grandma3 73 Posted July 8, 2012 I like tuna with mayo, chopped egg and shredded sheese. You can put it on a cracker or wheat thin, or eat it with a fork. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

MemphisFan 18 Posted July 10, 2012 I added mayo and relish and put them on club crackers. My dr said club crackers were ok in mushy stage because when you chew club crackers they become purred in your mouth, but you have to chew them properly
MemphisFan 18 Posted July 10, 2012 Also, I liked to make a baked potato, add fat free cheese and sour cream and eat the mushy potato... You could add chicken t o that
Kekeboo 47 Posted July 10, 2012 I am not banded yet, but have thought ALOT about the different stages. I am one for flavor, so I would add celery seed, garlic powder and maybe just a touch of dry mustard to the tuna with the mayo and hard boiled egg. I have never used the canned chicken, glad to see some great ideas. 1 newskinnygal reacted to this
smilan 1 Posted July 11, 2012 Oh I also use light ranch or blue cheese dressing instead of mayo sometimes.
schell75 1 Posted July 11, 2012 A great recipe is to the chicken a dry packet of Italian dressing, cream cheese and a can of cream mushroom Soup. I put in crockpot and of course you can use lower fat versions of soup and cream cheese so not as much calories.
