yvonne74 73 Posted July 7, 2012 I just pay the $12 co-pay for a fill and my follow-ups where added to the surgery referral.. My Dr just feels for the port and sticks the needle. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Mjv013 67 Posted July 7, 2012 I never paid a co-pay with prime. I also got pre-auth for about 4 months at a time no limit on fills. When I passed that deadline, the Dr's office filled another auth and I was approved everytime. I am now under standard but have not needed a fill. But I will need to have it looked at after my son is born to make sure its all good. Ill have to see how billing goes for that. Oh and all my fills were under fluoroscopy. I had about 12 of them in 14 months. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
yvonne74 73 Posted July 7, 2012 My Dr doesn't do fills under fluoroscopy so guess it depends on your Dr.. I pay co-pay b/c I went out of the area.. None of the Drs in this area would do the band for me. They said my BMI was too high to be successful so I found someone who would but I have to drive a ways. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

Wow!! Glad you found someone who would do it for you. My total amount to lose from surgery to goal was 147 lbs. Not one thing was said about me being to over weight. 2 yvonne74 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted July 7, 2012 my dr tried to get me to do the bypass but didnt want to go that route. am glad us 2 are doing well congrats on the lap band baby
yvonne74 73 Posted July 7, 2012 Thanks! one suggested I do bypass and the other suggested sleeve.. Both said that someone my size wouldn't lose enough weight to make the surgery worth having.. They told me that research shows that anyone over a BMI of 50 would not benefit from lapband. So glad I didn't listen to them and did my own research.
