Anytime I am in the heat for more than two hours, I am unable to eat anything.. I feel so tight that even "chew, chew, chewing" wont stay down!! Is this normal?

Like for the forth I spent 7 hours at hurricane harbor.. that day I had my tea like normal, eggs, then anything I tried to eat that day would come back up!

I seem to be like that as well. If it gets hot, I get tighter for sure.

Since someone else was like that I say normal ;). I'm going to try to start noticing for myself! Hope you feel better and can eat again soon.

I live in the land of "Endless Summer"...and find I am unable to tolerate much heat exposure any more like I did when I was younger. I have not noticed that my band feels any different when I am exposed to the heat...

What I have noticed is that stress, primarily generated by driving does make my band feel tighter...and many times I am unable to drink Water while driving.

Well I had a stuck incident yesterday first in quite awhile I was outside at a pool party and honey it is hot here in paradise. These post jogged my memory that in the past when it gets steamy out I get stuck . It wasn't the food because I had only had 3 bites and the slimeing started , 3 years out my husband knows that look on my face so quick trip to the bathroom and I just said okay today is liquid day. But I do remember this happening to me a lot in the begining when it was hot.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
